Turn Waste Into Shelter

At Sheltersuit UK we have a clear humanitarian mission: to protect homeless people against rain, wind, and cold.

 

As Sheltersuit Foundation says, "our products offer more than emergency protection. They are  a first step towards personal healing and more resilient support systems."

With the growing number of people experiencing homelessness across the UK, we’ve been working closely with Spiro and Moss Inc to create "Event Graphics for Good".

​

We’re excited to announce that we are now ready to repurpose graphics from the events and print industry into Shelterbags – giving used materials a second life and providing shelter and safety to those who need it most.

​

If you have black back canvas graphics -- getting involved couldn’t be simpler. Check out the guidelines below to see how you can take part.

Donate Your Waste Fabric

​Step 1: Obtain a Graphics Bag​​

  • Click here and fill out a request form for your graphics bag. 

  • One bag is approx. (L)90cm x (W)90cm x (H)90cm and holds on average 1 ton of graphics 

  • Sheltersuit UK will ship you out a graphics bag to anywhere in the UK 

  • Step 2: Make Payment

  • Go to www.sheltersuituk.com/donation/ and select "Custom Amount"

  • Or contact us here for bank details if you prefer

  • Pay £200 for each bag ordered. We will be notified automatically.

Step 3: Begin Your Mission

  • With your Graphics Bag, start collecting black back canvas.

Step 4: Return Your Full Graphics Bag

  • Once your bag is full, click here to notify Sheltersuit UK via their online portal.   

  • Each individual company must arrange shipping or delivery to Sheltersuit UK. 

Step 5: Sheltersuit UK gets busy!

  • Sheltersuit UK’s team take your waste graphics and turns them into Shelterbags.

  • Thanks to the support of Street Pastors and other groups all over the country they have a huge network of agencies who can help distribute the Shelterbags to those that need it the most.

Your contribution goes directly towards supporting the work of Sheltersuit UK:​​

  • Protecting the vulnerable people sleeping unsheltered on the streets of UK

  • Training those who are distanced from the UK labour market to make Shelterbags --- giving them dignified employment instead of reliance on benefits.
